"My most beloved late Amma (mother) continues to bless me throughout my life."
Colour of India launching day 2017

Welcome to My Colourful World of India!
I’m a proud mother of three beautiful children—including our little bunny, Kutti. I’m also the founder and designer of My Colour of India, a website dedicated to sharing the rich culture and cuisine of South India.
Originally from Andhra Pradesh, India, I now live in the West Midlands, UK, where I serve as a South Indian cultural presenter and cooking tutor.
From a young age, I’ve had a deep passion for cooking and culture—something I used to share with my beloved brother (Anna) while growing up. Once I settled into a happy life with my wonderful husband, Seenu, I felt inspired to share my journey with all of you.
Through this platform, I invite you to experience the vibrant festivals we celebrate at home, deeply rooted in the strong Hindu traditions of incredible South India. Many of the recipes featured on my website are family-inspired, some even named after loved ones, carrying forward our heritage with pride.
South India is a beautiful mosaic of faiths, with 22 languages and a welcoming spirit that fills every home with warmth and love. I’m proud to represent this part of India through my personal stories, traditional recipes, and cultural reflections.
With the blessings of my parents and sweet memories of my motherland, I brought this dream to life—designing a website that includes touches of my native Telugu language, homemade aromatic dishes, and snapshots from my own life.
I learned to cook from my Amma (mother) back in Bharat, and many of the recipes I share have been passed down through generations. Today, I feel incredibly proud watching my children embrace our traditions and confidently cook the recipes I grew up with. Seeing them in the kitchen brings me so much joy—it’s as if my Amma’s dream is continuing through them.
I hope you enjoy making these authentic South Indian dishes in your own kitchen, just like I do. I’d love to hear your thoughts, so feel free to leave a comment or message me through the Contact section.
Don’t forget to explore the Recipes section to view my tasty creations—each one is easy to make and perfect for cooking with or for your family.
I truly hope you enjoy this colourful journey through the traditions, flavours, and heartfelt stories of South India. Thank you for being here.
