Indian Style Egg FlavouredRice 

Ingredients 

  • Freshly cooked one or two cups sona masoori or basmati rice .
  • Eggs -5
  • Fresh peas -160g
  • Fresh carrots -2(optional)
  • Onions -3 medium size
  • Green chillies-4 or fresh blend chilli paste -1 to 2 tsp
  • Fresh curry leaves -2 stems
  • Fresh coriander -2 stems
  • Ginger and garlic paste -1 to 2 tsp
  • Garlic cloves-2
  • Olive oil -4 tsp
  • Cumin seeds-1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds-1 tsp
  • Urid daal-1 tsp
  • Coriander powder-1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder-half a tsp
  • Black pepper powder-1 tsp

  1. Keep the cooked rice ready by keeping the lid open if the rice is hot .Let the rice cool down little bit .

  2. Chop the onion,garlic,green chillies or freshly blend chilli paste,coriander,carrots need to chop them into very small  pieces keep it ready .

  3. Break the eggs into a bowl and keep it ready .

  4. Now heat a deep pan on the medium flame with oil .

  5. When the oil is ready add in cumin seeds,mustard seeds,urid daal let them fry a bit .

  6. Now add in chopped garlic,onions,green chillies ,curry leaves,fresh peas,carrots and fry nicely until the onions are bit brown . 

  7. Add in salt,turmeric powder,coriander powder ,black pepper powder and mix well .

  8. Now pour the eggs in and mix it well .

  9. Add in cooked rice and mix altogether until the egg coats each and every grain of the rice .Switch of the flame .

  10. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves .Yummy tasting delicous spicy Indian style egg rice with peas ready for your family and friends to enjoy .

Its my simple favourite dish.I always enjoy having it with homemade tomato pachidi
